Lawrence Marnett of Vanderbilt University and his team have developed the compounds – ‘Fluorocoxibs’ – which can light up tumors at initial stage, before they turn deadly. Fluorocoxibs are fluorescent inhibitors of the enzyme cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), COX-2 is active in inflammatory lesions and tumors from early pre malignancy stages, while not found in surrounding normal tissues and its level ups with increase in malignancy. Gadgets having ‘i’ as prefix are considered best among their counterparts and have been proved lucrative for their producers. Keeping this in mind (may be) it’s been used by a total new department i.e. Health-care.
Phillips – a Dutch company has developed electronic pills, named ‘intelligent pills’ or ‘ipill’. This electronic pill is capable of reaching the exact site of infection and after releasing the drug at the infected region, gets out of the body without causing any harm and side affect. Their specific activity is proposed for diseases of gastrointestinal tract i.e. crohn’s disease and colon cancer. Continued…

They illustrated that cow with names give higher milk yield. According to the survey they conducted, about 46% of the farmers named their cows and got 2,105 gallons (7,938 liters) of milk which was 68 gallons (258 liters) more compared to normal 2.029 gallons per 10 month cycle, regardless of farm size and feed.
